I sit down to write.
\nNever really sure if I weave a story
\nor if it’s the story that weaves me<\/p>\n
It is creative some days
\nbut agonizing in many ways
\nSome agonies just agonies of the art
\nbut others are peculiar to my heart.<\/p>\n
They say good stories come
\nfrom heart’s deepest recesses
\nwhence battles have scratched, gnawed, wrung,
\nleft scars & abscesses<\/p>\n
It’s a torment to remember the pain
\nI flinch my heart would bleed again.
\nBut should forgetting become my aim
\nI dread if I would forget my name.<\/p>\n
I go on striving to equalize
\nmy doings, my writings, my being.
\nAnd neglect what was once surmised
